Very nice pants but agree that sizing could be improved

By Emmie

from South Western OH

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Flattering
  • Quality Material

Cons

  • A little too snug in the seat
  • Irregular Fit
  • Longer length would make these great

Best Uses

  • Casual Wear

COMMENTS:

I am 5'8" and 130 pounds. I ordered a size up to an 8 based on other reviews. Waist and legs are perfect. The seat is not too tight but snugger than I would prefer for active hiking, etc. I like them enough to keep, however. Seem high quality material and feel. If they came with a longer inseam I would order more of these. I like the drawstring at the ankle. But given the "No-Fly" purpose they should be longer.

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Gardening, working in woods

    COMMENTS:

Will use for hiking, working in the woods, and in my garden in fact, just taking a walk. My part of the country is saturated with deer ticks. The comments about snugness of fit were right in my case. I would recommend them with that warning. Agree with the comments about adding gear in heavy work weight. Am today buying a pair of overalls to send to the Insect Shield company for fabric treatment, along with my older Duluth overalls (yes, they will do that). I would much rather have a one-step process than do that!

    Good bug-proof pants

    COMMENTS:

I like the No Fly Pants very much. They seem to work as stated; I have not been bitten by mosquitos or found any ticks on me while wearing them. I am 5'5'm 125 lbs, 29.5" waist, 40" hips and the size 10 is a little bit baggy all over. I probably could have taken the size 8, but I am happy with a looser fit for the hot weather. I am outside a lot and plan to give them a test for the 70 washings!

        COMMENTS:

Really awful fit- ordered a sz 16 for extra room-super tight. Returned and ordered an 18 and they were 3 inches smaller than the 16 - what gives? Have to return again! So disappointed because I thought I had found the perfect gardening pants to keep the bugs away. Gave one star because they're super lightweight. Oh well.

          COMMENTS:

These pants are great for bird watching. I could not figure out the bungee cord system at the ankles, but Live Chat immediately helped when asked. The only drawback is the length. No matter how I measure the inseam, it comes out 30", not 31". I'm 5'9", so the extra inch is needed.
