Comments about Women's Work Gloves - Winterproof Gauntlet Gloves:

I thoroughly read the marketing info on the gloves last year, and they seemed ideal for winter gardening and yard-work which was why I ordered a pair last year, and had to send them back for the exact same reasons that I am sending this pair back...very poor fit, very tight and inflexible and,it would be extremely difficult to actually do anything that requires fine motor skills of the hands. They may only be good for gripping something large and round like a large rake, or wheelbarrow handles, but, certainly NOT for doing anything requiring any measure of dexterity. Additionally, the first finger construction on both gloves is a very strange shape and actually curves in toward the second finver on each glove, AND, to add insult to injury, the fingers are way too long....at least 1/2" or more between the ends of my fingers and the ends of the gloves fingers which further inhibits any manner of dexterity because there is a 1/2"+ empty space at the ends of glove fingers (and, I have long. slender hands/fingers so by all reason, someone would have to almost have spider hands for the gloves to work!) I consider this product to be sub-standard particularly considering how expensive they are, and defective, and I am not happy about having to pay $6.95 to return something of this poor quality!!

I have short fingers, and have a hard time finding gloves. I also have Reinald's Syndrome, where my fingers get extremely cold in the winter. Usually I wear mittens, but sometimes just have to have gloves. These gloves need to be shorter in the fingers, with a little more space in width.

Fingers turned to icicles in these

Comments about Women's Work Gloves - Winterproof Gauntlet Gloves:

I wanted these gloves to keep my hands warm while hiking with my dogs & generally working around the yard in winter. I've worn them twice when wind chills were in the teens & both times my fingers froze to the point I couldn't feel them; it seemed like the gloves were transmitting the cold right to my fingers. I suppose they'd be OK if you were doing very strenuous work like shoveling snow, but for a brisk walk they are not suitable. The gauntlet part is nice & keeps the wind from blowing up your sleeves (a pet peeve of mine), but otherwise I can't recommend these gloves. They are hanging on the hooks on the back of the door & will probably stay there for good. Very disappointed.

I use these gloves to feed horses in cool-cold weather. I have used and worn out numerous pairs in the past. I was disappointed to find, that this last pair, are missing one great feature, the soft nose rub area! It was replaced with a more course material, not pleasant for nose rubbing. :( Otherwise, they do the job well.

I live on 70 acres in harsh back country and raise 200+ chicken and other livestock. These gloves do protect your hands from heavy duty chores like going through brush, collecting firewood and watering livestock in cold temps but fails to stay dry when doing heavy snow jobs like clearing snow from animal structures and yards. Luckily they're fast drying so can used for another hard days work.

Comments about Women's Work Gloves - Winterproof Gauntlet Gloves:

The gloves do all that they say, but my biggest issue is the sizing runs small, and they fit tightly even though I purchased the large. Hard to close my hand around things, as it almost feels like it's cutting off circulation.

If you buy... get at least an extra-large if available, or large if you have long fingers, but very slim knuckles. Also have arthritis in one hand, so that makes it more difficult for movement.

Comments about Women's Work Gloves - Winterproof Gauntlet Gloves:

These gloves worked great while cutting and stacking wood in a surprise snow storm. The logs were slippery with snow, but the grippy patches on the gloves did a great job of improving "traction." The gauntlets securely wrapped around the cuffs of my work jacket to keep snow and grime out. And they cleaned up nicely after the work was done. While these gloves felt too small when I tried the medium, the large was just right.
