I live at a high altitude so protection from intense radiation is a must. This hat allowed for a perfect fit due to various sizes. The tie keeps the hat on when the wind comes up.

I have a hard time finding hats that fit me and that work for a long day in the garden. I ordered an XL and it fits great! The side and back protection are a bonus -- and a welcome change from the baseball caps I've resorted to in past. And the hat is machine washable -- heaven!

I live in Albuquerque, NM and have two 80 foot garden rows at a local community garden. I am outside in the sun daily. With the direct and strong sun we have here, it is imperative to have good head and neck shade. This hat does the job! I am very satisfied with the fit and the performance....it's a good thing I bought 3 different colors!

The color of this hat was described online as "Sienna" and looks to be a soft, burnt orange. Well, the color would be more aptly called "Traffic Cone." It is a bright, hunter's orange. Also, the hat I received is floppy, having no shape to "bounce back to" as promised in the description. Not worth the cost of returning, but wouldn't buy again.
