COMMENTS:

I had really high hopes for this jacket, but was extremely disappointed when it arrived. It was much thinner and flimsier then described and pictured online. I am a true size small and was swimming in this jacket. I measured the jacket and it did not match the measurements given for a size small on Duluth's size chart. Trying to return the jacket was an absolute pain and required multiple phone calls to the company in order to get the appropriate refund.

Chore Coat Review

      COMMENTS:

Perhaps not the breeding, status and refinement of coats made across the pond. And most definitely a far cry from the investment one must make, you could buy six of these coats for one with a traditional plaid lining and the blessing of the queen.
However I purchased the dark olive in medium and before wearing it, I gave it a proper bath in a warm wash and a medium hot dryer to test its durability. A huge plus for me to be able to clean it unlike oil cloth/ tin coats.
      It came out perfect.
I have worn it everyday since it arrived. I'm am so impressed with the fit and the mobility it allows due to the stretch from the 3% spandex.
There are just enough features to make it comfortable and useful without all the silly bells and whistles so many coats try to lure the buyer in with.
I garden in it, feed the livestock, exercise the dogs, run to town to do errands.
I have a thin down jacket that I can easily wear under it when it's chilly.
Water beads up and so far does not absorb into fabric.
So to me it's the perfect coat. I even reordered it in the black before they are no longer available.
Thank you Duluth, it is a mighty fine coat.

      Big. Pockets not practical.

          COMMENTS:

Rats. First to know: it's big. I saw the other comments that it was a bit large, but that was good for layering. It's way big. (I'm 5/7 and 145 lbs, swimming in a large, should have ordered a medium). Second to know: pockets just aren't practical. My phone (iPhone 6) will only fit in one of the double snap pockets. Maybe I'm lazy, but I'm not doing two (not magnetized) snaps every time I need to use my phone. The side access pockets have no "depth"... so anything put in them will fall out. Not useful for me, so taking back. Rats.

            COMMENTS:

Love this coat. It is the perfect for fall or spring weather. Not bulky so it can be layered, I have wear it under my Flapjack Flannel Shirt Jacket all winter so I can wear one or both at work depending on the temperature. The jacket is very practical and would be great to hike or fish in because of all the pockets. Plus it looks nice on not in a dressy way but fashionable. I would buy again if this one ever wears out but I do not see that happening any time soon. The 2XL fits me perfect and I am 5'9 I could also have fit in the XL but this way I can easily wear sweatshirt under the coat and still easily move around.

              COMMENTS:

I've been looking for an all weather jacket exactly like this one! It feels like a souped up jean jacket and I cannot believe it isn't sold out as a Duluth favorite. The quality is impeccable. I love the sturdy military style snaps and the substantial two way zipper. I've been wearing it everyday, layering or not, to adapt to the weather that changes constantly from wind and rain to snow, and from 20 to 60*F in the winter. The arms do not feel tight with layers. Rain beads up and rolls off. I think this jacket will work well in the summer too especially for camping. I could not be happier with this jacket and with Duluth products in general! The quality, sizing, and thoughtful details for easier movement and coverage are perfect. I rarely have to send anything back. It fits my style of living, and I purchase these products for gifts as well. The advertising in the catalogs is brilliant and always brings a smile. Thanks Duluth!
