Awesome pants

COMMENTS:

I really love these pants. I work outside in Maine in the winter, and this year I've worn these pants literally every day. Only on the coldest days do I need long johns under them, and while in my former white collar career I was a fanatic about keeping pants washed and "in shape," I literally can't remember the last time I've washed these. The firehose fabric retains shape excellently and seems to repel about half the spills I encounter. I'm 5'7" and 160#, and ordered the 33" length, and would definitely not want to have gone shorter, so I wonder how taller women feel about this. I would also recommend not getting scared off by the articulated waist. I ordered a 12 because I was worried that the waist would be too tight. It definitely is not-- I need a belt-- and I think if I'd ordered a 10 I'd have a better fit around my thighs and would be able to move with less confinement. Overall, though, I love these and just wish they came in blue. A winter of brown pants is long indeed.

COMMENTS:

I am 5' 7" and about 125 lb. I'm not teeny and bony, but I'm not a burly buff girl. I generally fit a size 6 pant these days or a 29-31" waist.

I bought a pair of these in 6x33 to upgrade from the older fleece-lined style, which I have in 8x33 when I was a bit heavier. I ordered a size down this time to get a better fit. Surprisingly, the 6x33 is as big as the 8x33! The waist on both is 33" zipped (unzipped, from edge to edge, it was 34"). I spoke to a Duluth rep (they're wonderful, by the way) who told me the waist on the new Fleece Bonded Pant is supposed to be 31" and maybe I got a mislabeled pair. So, she sent me another 6x33. The 2nd 6x33 was likewise 33" at the waist. A 2nd rep told me that this pant runs big, but 33" waist for a size 6? That's beyond "runs big". Sadly, this pant is no longer part of my wardrobe unless the sizing is reevaluated.

As for the leg, it was always big/wide. Too much for me to the point where sometimes the extra space allowed for drafts. But other factors outweighed the big leg.

I would recommend this to a friend if I knew her physique and how this pant might fit her.

COMMENTS:

This is the third version of the fleece lined fire hose pant I've purchased from you. The first pair was the warmest pair (only came in brown, lined with brown fleece) but eventually the hems became ragged with wear, so I bought two more pairs in brown and black, which weren't firehose fabric and were lined instead with orange fleece. They are more shapely than the first version but not as warm. I ordered the third round, so to speak, as the pants shrink over time and I need the 33" length. Well, hey, back to the firehose fabric and a looser fit, but still not as warm a lining as the very first pair. I will say, in general, that Duluth has the largest sizing I ever encounter anywhere. Huge!

      COMMENTS:

I love these pants! It's my first year sugaring solo and man, are these the best pants for a homesteading woman! These pants are like a forcefield against cold air. We've got weather here that's below zero with wind whipping (gotta love March) and I am HAPPY to be out and about in these pants. I only wish I could have a whole suit made of this material!
The waist is a little lower than I'd like it and a little tighter, but that's not stopping me from wearing them.

          COMMENTS:

The FH bonded cargo pants have replaced my fleece lined jeans for all my barn chores. They kept me warm and comfortable this past winter. The material is extremely flexible, comfortable for bending ( love the comfort waistband!) and tough. No pokes from thorns in the woods and wash and dry quickly with no wrinkles. I thought the pockets weren't attractive but I use them all the time so really functional. I'm 5'4", 133 pounds and ordered 2 pair in size 6, 29" inseam. Perfect!
