    COMMENTS:

I've had this bag for about 3 years now. I'm the kind of woman that doesn't like purses and usually carry only what I call my "wallet on string". But for times when I want to hop on my bicycle and cruise to meet friends for dinner downtown or run an errand, this backpack is awesome. A U-lock for my bike fits perfect in the main compartment, and I can secure my keys, phone, and wallet in the zippered areas. Love that I can use it as a backpack on my ride and effortlessly convert it to wear cross-body while walking. Being in Portland, OR, I'm proud to tell people it's from Duluth Trading Company when they compliment it! The leather wears nicely and is incredibly soft yet still durable. Yes - it's going to get scratched, but that's part of its character.

        COMMENTS:

This is a very high quality backpack that appears very durable. I really love it, but there are a few improvements I would like to see in the next version (which I would buy immediately): 1) A slightly larger size would allow it to be used for a greater array of needs...as it is now, it holds a limited amount and is not practical for school or work, 2) the zipper opening on the main compartment does not allow the bag to be opened wide which limits what can fit in it...if they could enlarge the opening, it would be really great, 3) like other owners, I would like a small handle on the top...as it is now I find when I grab it by the strap, the strap slides in the rings and the bag drops.

          COMMENTS:

I looked at this bag for 3 months before I bought it. When it finally came in the mail I was so excited - it is exactly as pictured. Easily adjustable strap, so you can literally wear it however you want.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the inside pockets appear glued on, and I wonder how long they will last. I only had an ipod, phone and keys in one of the pockets, and I could see the pocket pulling away from the bag. So we will see! I am not too worried as the bag comes with the Duluth guarantee, but still.
