Having lived in Japan for a number of years, we adopted the habit of removing shoes as we enter the house. We leave the shoehorn at the entry and hang it from the coat hooks. The longer handle works great to avoid bending over so far and it also looks good. It works exactly as we had hoped.

Much better than thye regular shoehorns. I have several boots that I need a longer sturdier shoehorn top get then on. I put down dog walker because I use the shoehorn to get into the boots I wear walking my dog. This is my second shoehorn as I misplaced the first one Also have the longhandled ceder shoe/boot horn,

I decided to pick up this shoehorn to have in my office at work. In the winter I change out of snow boots into regular shoes each morning upon arriving there. The shoehorn is very well made, easy to use, and the leather grip is a nice touch. I can see myself using it for many years to come.
